Are The Laws of Attraction Working For You? If Not Continue Reading…
Thursday, May 28th, 2009Over the last several years we have been hearing more and more about the laws of attraction and the relationship between science and spirituality. Science being the tangible stuff that we can see and feel like the possessions that we own, a car, a house, clothes or a job and spirituality meaning the unseen laws of the universe that few really understand that causes things to happen.
We have seen the movie the “The Secret” released and considering the trying times that we are living in bringing hope to the masses can only be a good thing. But, why do these laws work for some and not for others?
Experts say that to get the laws to work you need to think and see exactly what you want and it will be delivered to you. You need to concentrate and you need to visualize, see money and you will have money, concentrate on a big house and you will have it.
The problem however is that most people who use the laws and the power of visualization still do not have what they want. Why does one person attract what they are seeking and another person regardless of how much they try, still not get the things that they want. How frustrating is it when you try to be positive, you try to visualize positive thoughts, but life still does not work out? What’s holding you back?
It all comes down to the way that you use your brain and your subconscious mind. If you consider your brain like a computer, you have open programs that you can see and use on your desk top, but you also have programs that you cannot see running in the background. And although you are trying to control your conscious mind, your subconscious mind may be sabotaging your efforts.
The trick is getting rid of those negative thoughts and emotions because if you don’t, even if you are able to get what you want, you will not be able to hold on to it. One example would be someone who comes into sudden money, but ends up penniless due to an unexpected misfortune. You need to learn to identify your negative subconscious thoughts so that they do not work against you.
It’s not easy, but it can be done. Although psychotherapy is the most definitive way to go about it, there is another much quicker way. Sit down and take a good look at your life. Then take a piece of paper and list the areas where you consistently have trouble in your life. Next take a look at your beliefs in that area. For example, are you experiencing trouble with money? You probably have some subconscious thoughts that are holding you back which by the way are also known as limiting beliefs. Also, make sure that it is something that you have been having trouble with for a while, not just a passing challenge?
Once you have identified your problem areas take a few minutes to write down your beliefs which often will be your first thoughts about the situation. An example for instance would be something like “money is the root of all evil.”
Change these thoughts and you will change your life. Adopting a thought like money is good and the root of all happiness will begin to change your beliefs and your subconscious thoughts and eventually your money situation.
